Asheboro, NC Public Housing Authority seeks Full-Time Executive Director
Established in 1971 the Asheboro Housing Authority (AHA) in Asheboro, NC currently operates or manages 1,176 housing units including 200 public housing units, 879 Housing Choice Vouchers, 40 New Construction Multifamily units, 50 units with LIHTC requirements and seven market rental units. In addition to AHA, the current staff of 21 manages the day-to-day operations of two non-profit instrumentalities.
The Executive Director position requires expertise in housing programs mentioned above in addition to working with local government leaders, community organizations and state & federal representatives. AHA is currently rated as a High Performer in both PHAS & SEMAP.
Applicants should have business management capabilities & knowledge of affordable housing including property development, ability to renovate/reconstruct existing housing without diminishing current housing stock, ability to expand affordable housing stock, public relation skills including maintaining positive relations with Asheboro community leaders and data processing capabilities, among others.
Salary Range: Dependent on education and experience; Preferred Educational Minimums: Master's degree preferred and Certified PHM or equivalent combination of education and experience to provide critical knowledge, abilities and skills; Benefits Package includes health & medical insurance, retirement plan & other benefits.
