Aaden Reynolds - NC Winner 2026 CCHRCO BEYOND Scholarship

NC CCHRCO BEYOND Scholarship Winner:

A graduate of Rocky Mount High School in Rocky Mount, NC, Aaden Reynolds was selected as a 2026 Carolinas Council of Housing Redevelopment and Codes Officials (CCHRCO) BEYOND scholarship recipient. Aaden is a resident of the Rocky Mount Housing Authority.

Aaden plans to attend North Carolina A&T in the fall to pursue a degree in Civil Engineering. When sharing what drew him to the field of civil engineering, Aaden shared, "True intelligence is using knowledge to solve problems, uplift others, and improve the world around you. That mindset is what led me to pursue civil engineering. Civil engineering is one of the most important fields in society because it directly impacts how people live every day. Roads, bridges, schools, water systems, and transportation all shape the quality of life within a community. I want to become a civil engineer because I want to build structures and systems that create safer, stronger, and more connected communities."

Through a letter of recommendation, his teacher shared, "What truly sets Aaden apart is his quiet yet confident demeanor. He carries himself with a calm, composed presence and approaches each day ready for whatever challenges may come his way. He does not seek attention, but instead allows his character and work ethic to speak for him. His steady determination and inner strength always demonstrate a level of maturity that is rare in today's youth."

Each year, two $500 BEYOND Scholarships are awarded to two residents of CCHRCO member agencies. One NC resident and one SC resident are selected to receive the $500 BEYOND Scholarship.
